The question of how to help children with choosing the right career, without being overbearing, worries many parents. And this often happens long before they enter the university. It isn't easy to decide on the sphere of future professional activity, because the child needs to be helped to get as much information as possible about the world around him, about his abilities and capabilities, without focusing on one thing. The more information he can get before this age, the easier it will be for him to make a choice. That’s why it is important to lay the foundations already in adolescence, because the world is changing rapidly. It is unknown what will happen tomorrow, and it is unclear how to prepare for it.

We believe that the process of professional development can be made conscious and manageable. Worrying about children, parents often ask the question: "What should I teach them?" Common jobs disappear, new ones appear before our eyes. Yesterday you chose one direction for development, today you started training, and tomorrow it will become unappreciated. And the interests of our children are changing at a great speed. They intuitively adapt to the world, try everything that comes into their visual field. They start and quit, change their choices, trying to figure out what they are interested in.

One education, one profession, one workplace for life - this is the last century. We live in a multi-career reality. Adults change the vector of professional development from 1 to 3 times in their lives, sometimes dramatically. And children will do it even more often.

In order to realize themselves and become successful, they will have to constantly study, catch a new wave, be ready to change the trajectory of professional movement and build a career anew more than once. This is what they need to be prepared for.

But how can you help a child in choosing a profession? And the question here is not so much professional as psychological. Therefore, it is important for parents to:

About the course:

The course "My future profession: career guidance for kids", consisting of 2 modules, is a unique opportunity for children from 14 to 17 years old to get acquainted with the world of professions, determine the professional type of personality and get acquainted with career fields and occupations, understanding their own interests.

During the training process, we work with interactive tables, templates and diagrams that the child can use repeatedly to solve career queries in the future. This kind of material will help to visually, conveniently, easily analyze a large amount of information and make conclusions.

One of the advantages of the course is research work - kids explore different fields of activity, professions and their interests according to a certain algorithm under the guidance of a teacher. He makes the decision himself, the teacher helps not to lose sight of anything. This gives you loyalty to the result, responsibility for your future, confidence and motivation.

The course also contains many practical tasks both for self-reflection and for labor market research, oral and written.

We will have two fronts of work:

1. Internal

The training starts with self-knowledge and self-reflection. What have the guys already known about themselves, their strengths? What are they capable of? What are their interests? What do they dream about? We will go through these topics, discuss, do exercises in pairs and small groups and write essays. Aristotle once said: Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.

2. External

We go out "into the fields" and begin the research stage. We will work with atlases of new professions. To study trends, technologies and maps of professions. We will choose the direction that is best suited for the realization of everyone's interests, abilities and goals, and also get acquainted with universities, training programs and the strategy of preparation for admission.

After completing this course, your kid will be able to:

• understand what he is interested in and what topics unite his hobbies in different directions (school, hobbies, books, movies, people);
• ask himself questions about himself, answer them, reflect;
• determine goals, motivation, and conditions suitable for effective work for himself;

• use the information about global trends that determine the development of different directions;
• find and analyze information on university websites;
• independently analyze several programs and choose the 3 most suitable options for themselves;
• make a list of resources for getting to know the profession (clubs, courses);
• prepare for admission (resources for preparation, Olympiads, courses at universities).
