Education:
National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), Faculty of Communication, Media and Design, specializing in Game Design.
Work experience:
Anastasia was enthusiastic about computer games and storytelling from an early age. At the age of 12, she began creating tabletop games inspired by her favorite titles and jotted down her story ideas in notebooks. She later explored game development with RPG Maker, quickly gaining popularity and sharing her creative work on social media.
During her studies, she mastered 3D modeling, interface design, game engine programming and the basics of sound design. These skills gave her a comprehensive understanding of the game development process. Currently, Anastasia continues to refine her expertise, exploring art and seeking innovative project concepts. She firmly believes that every detail contributes to creating a holistic gaming experience.
Interests:
As an indie game developer, Anastasia experiments with different approaches to visual style, game mechanics and audio accompaniment. Some of her projects include hand-drawn graphics instead of digital art, as she considers games as a medium of artistic expression.
Her inspiration comes from an eclectic mix of sources: Books, movies, theater and art exhibitions. She is particularly fond of Japanese culture, poetry, photography and creating collages. Anastasia often goes for walks, carefully observing the beautiful details in her surroundings – observations that often provide her with the most creative ideas.
"Games are more than just entertainment or a means of making money. When we develop games, we transport into the virtual world the elements that touch us in real life: our observations, dreams, fears and feelings. The main task of a game developer is to give people the opportunity to expand their experiences, to live extraordinary stories that will be remembered long after they have finished playing. For this reason, students in our program are trained to pay close attention to every detail of a game – visual, auditory and technical. They learn to master challenging situations through creative problem solving and to "tell stories without words".
