Is it possible to build success through independence? It’s a question that isn’t always straightforward—especially when it comes to children. At CODDY, we believe that cultivating a child’s independence and leadership skills lays the foundation for a thriving future.
School, extracurricular activities, even hobby clubs—these are often environments where kids are told, “Just do as instructed.” Rarely do they get the chance to make their own decisions or take charge. However, leadership and independence develop when children have the opportunity to try, fail, and find their own solutions.
Take Misha, for example. Initially, he was hesitant to voice his ideas during group projects. He feared making mistakes, so he waited for others to tell him exactly what to do.
To empower Misha, we changed our approach. Instead of assigning a task with a pre-determined outcome, he was given a project where he needed to decide on the direction and come up with his own concept. At first, he felt uncertain, but during a collaborative session with his peers, he proposed a game idea where the main character brings together neighbors to save their city.
His classmates enthusiastically supported his idea, and soon the project became a collective effort under his leadership. This example reinforced our belief that kids can become leaders when their ideas are truly valued.
At CODDY, we create an environment where children are encouraged to take ownership of their projects, from ideation to execution. They get to step into roles like developers, project managers, or even juggle multiple positions at once.
Take Sasha, for instance. At just 10 years old, she developed a mobile app to help her classmates organize their assignments. While her peers assisted with design, the core idea and structure were entirely her initiative.
We don’t just teach coding—we show kids that independence leads to opportunity, and hands-on practice builds their confidence.
Misha no longer hesitates to share his ideas, even when they might require refinement. Sasha gained the respect of her classmates thanks to her app and realized her ability to solve real-life problems through her creativity and leadership.
P.S. Enroll your child in CODDY’s courses and give them the opportunity to shine. Each project is a step toward confidence and success!
