A few years ago, the development of computer games was a business solely for professionals from a small circle of companies. Everything has changed with the advent of game engines like Roblox Studio.

Course content

Class1 - Getting to know Roblox Studio. Writing the first scripts for a character and an object, moving them around. Working with the toolbox.

Class 2 - Creating a "chocolate factory". Working with the engine interface: setting material and colour, creating parts and moving them around. Inserting text, creating buttons. Writing a script to enable the animation to play automatically.

Class 3 - Consolidating knowledge from previous sessions. Developing new objects. Working with plug-ins and cleaning up the image. Creating scripts for object interaction and character moves in the game.

Class 4 - Creating the rocket and the sky. Programming the detail of the object away from the object and developing the "pirate boss".

Class 5 - Creating players, developing graphics, creating animation scripts in a shooter game.

Class 6 - Building a movie theatre. Broadcasting video on objects, creating TV sets. The creative part: developing seats and rows, steps from the geometry offered by the engine. Creating scripts for switching video sequences.

Class 7 - Building and Improving Graphics. Modifying effects and working with light. Applying text: changing fonts and colors. Working with textures and changing colors in the game. A script for moving.

Class 8 - Creating a ball game. Working with physics. Creating the ball and dealing with its speed and gravity. Creation and selection of special effects for movement. Complication and simplification of the game by using field boundaries.

What do I need for lessons?

All you need for practicing is a computer with an internet connection and a Roblox Studio platform installed.
