Application Development for Google Assistant

Google is one of the most famous and all known companies in the world thanks to its search algorithm, but still, Google is much more than just a search algorithm.

Google develops services and products for the following important tasks: information search, calls, text messages, email, self-organization, effective work and much more.

Google products and services are used to organize the work environment and improve work efficiency. For example, you can organize online meetings through Google Hangouts, upload video tutorials to the YouTube channel, work with collaborative documents in Google Docs, and more. These are natural things Google employees use in their daily lives. To share the experience and skills that are common and demanded in Google, CODDY has developed a new in-depth 6-month course in “Application Development for Google Assistant” together with experts from Google.

In the course “Application Development for Google Assistant”, students create socially significant projects for Google Voice Assistant, followed by defending in the Moscow office of Google. Throughout the course, children use Google services to improve the effectiveness of learning and working on projects.

The course “Application Development for Google Assistant” is lasting 6 months and includes several modules of various directions in Python programming, design thinking and entrepreneurial activity, the basics of preparing professional presentations and speaking to the audience and digital literacy.

To develop professional skills, the modules of the course include:

• Python programming
• Google voice assistant application development
• Design thinking
• Fundamentals of entrepreneurship

To improve self-efficacy and organize the work environment, the course includes a detailed study of Google services, such as:

• Google Sheets - to create a site prototype and dialogue with the Google voice assistant;
• Google Hangouts - for group communication within project teams;
• Google Drive - for storing project information;
• Google Calendar - for organizing meetings and following deadlines;
• Gmail - for effective communication;
• Google Presentations - for preparing presentations to defend projects;
• Google Forms - for creating test to test hypothesis with your audience;
• Google Sites - to create a site for product demonstration.

All the work done on the course will be summed up in the main result - the protection of your own technological project in the Moscow office of Google. Projects will be evaluated by experienced professionals from Google. Students who successfully defended their project will receive a certificate of completion and a pleasant surprise from Google experts.
