How does the HR policy work?

It is a document/few documents that spell out everything related to employees: hiring, onboarding, training, etc.


Examples of HR policies are the drafting of employment contracts, pay acts and work restrictions. HR policy allows you to first create a team of professionals and then direct it in the right direction.



CODDY now has over 95 kids programming courses online. We teach kids code, design, math, chess and anything else that can be useful.

Selecting and hiring employees

It starts with finding employees who know how to get along with children and also understand their course topic. We are looking for talented teachers who have a desire to teach programming, design and other useful skills to the younger generation.

Requirements are specified in detail. If a person has filled out a resume correctly, there are several stages of selection. In the course are testing, communication with HR and a trial lesson with a child. So the teacher will show that he will be able to lead the course.


About efficiency. Such selection allows you to collect the best workers in the team. And it is easier to work with a team of professionals.


Training

The most important aspect that is given the most time in the school. When a person passes the main stages of selection, he is given materials to improve skills in pedagogy and psychology.



One of the stages of selection is testing. Its results will show that the person is able to assimilate the material and is ready to learn.


After passing the tests, the teacher is assigned a mentor. This is a person who will help with difficult questions. Also, even more methodologies and useful materials are given, allowing you to raise your qualifications.


About efficiency. We prefer to train cool teachers ourselves. It is more reliable than looking for someone on the side.


Work with motivation

  • Being able to choose the number of groups independently. You can work 4 hours a day, or you can work 10.
  • Adequate salary. Paid either at or above the market level. After all, money is an important part of overall motivation.
  • Onboarding. When a teacher comes to school, he or she is stressed as he or she enters a new workplace. We conduct an adaptation process to make it easier for a person to settle into the new place.
  • Maximum flexibility in choosing programs. A person should be comfortable doing their job. Therefore, the school has vacancies where you can teach offline and online, teach courses with groups and individually, be teachers at a country camp and do intensives.

Qualities of a teacher

Teachers are the heart of our team. Recruiters look for teachers with the following qualities:

  • Experience in your field. A deep knowledge of programming allows you to explain complex things in simple terms.
  • Willingness to learn. Often after hiring a person stops developing as a professional. After all, the need for money is satisfied, and free time can be spent on entertainment. But people who are engaged in self-education, perform tasks more effectively.
  • Ability to communicate with children. The younger the schoolchild, the weaker the load should be. The average child is sedentary and may not understand a lot. It is important to take these factors into account, be correct and help as a caring teacher.
  • Creative approach to the case. This point is related to the previous one. When there is less routine in the lessons, children are interested in the learning process.



Individual approach is also important. We specially recruit small groups so that the teacher can explain unclear issues to each child.


The way the teacher presents himself plays a big role. If he or she loves what he or she does, the children will feel it. He may even become an authority for them. Just like in a regular school, where some people get good grades in order for the teacher to praise them.
